This chapter has described the main component of structured systems analysis, the data flow diagram. It described what a data flow diagram looks like and how you can check it for correctness. It also described two important modeling techniques, namely, leveling and conversion between logical and physical data flow diagrams.
Now it remains to describe how data and processes are modeled in detail and how we go about developing a system model. These functions are described in the following chapters.
