Ron Gruner
Cofounder, Alliant Computer
Systems; Founder, Shareholder.com
Allaint computer systems were founded by Ron Gruner, Craig Mundie, and Rich McAndrew in 1982.
The idea of this start up is to build a machine that can be used in multiprocessing to achieve better performance.
After doing the startup Gruner started a new company at the opposite end of the spectrum, it is a web based service business. He also founded Shareholder.com in 1992.
The problem they encountered is convincing big companies to embrace the internet.
If I were on the founders’ shoes I would do the same thing that they do and I will never quit any mater what happen.
Things that I learned:
From this startup I learned that investors’ relations are important.
I also learn that in order to succeed you don’t need to quit.
The last thing I learn that it is a opportunity to use technology to find a way to reach out to shareholders and to save money for the company.
