Founder, Lycos

Lycos were founded by Michael Mauldin and Bob Davis on 1995.

It is the most popular site on the web

The startup was invented in 1994 by Mauldin, it is research project.

After doing the startup Davis is currently a managing general partner at venture capital firm Highland capital.

The problem that they encountered was hiring people, firing people, understanding their business model and many more.

I think people used their product because it becomes more searches where people need it, and it is a large national advertiser.

The unique thing about this startup is it is less with technology and more with the costumer. They are also focused on the earnings from they one.

Things that I learned:

From this startup I learn that Lycos is a large national advertiser.

I also learn that their goal is to make a big company and not to go public.

The last thing I learn from them is the reason why they are different from other competitor is because they focus on earnings form the day they incorporated and many did not do that.
