Kinds of information sought in Investigation

The system analysts set facts and figures, financial information, organizational context, and document types and problems through the sampling and investigation of hard data. Only interviewing or observation can accumulate hard data. Although hard data are produced by the organizations as a product organizational members construct it personally. Documentations are function to create is very centralized control.

Analysts must be aware that documents in organizations can serve as persuasive messages they offer information about people and how they behave. It also follows organizational change.

System analysts works to understand the organizations and it is important that system analysts need to examine different types of hard data. Hard data offer information through method of data gathering. Hard Data is where the organization is going. Analysts must examine the quantitative and qualitative hard data.

           

Quantitative Documents are available in any business it also includes reports for decision making. These documents have purpose and audience.

System Analysts must obtain documents that are used in running the business. Paper reports, status of inventory, sales or production are some of these documents.

One important function of Performance reports is to Asses the size of the gap between actual and intended performance. It is important to determine the gap and overall performance.

Records provide periodic update in business. System analysts can inspect a record by checking errors looking opportunities for improving record design, observing transactions and data calculations.

In data capture forms; analysts need to understand the system, which is in place. The analysts must keeps in mind particular questions.

In analyzing Qualitative Documents it should be within organizations. It may not follow predetermined from Qualitative Documents include email messages, memos and sign. These guidelines can help analysts to take a systematic approach: a. Examine documents for key b. look for insider versus outsiders’ c. lists the terms in documents d. look for meaningful graphics on web passes. e. Recognizing a sense of humor.
