Back Ground
The Virlanie Foundation Inc (VFI) is Non-Profit Organization, it is the largest private non-sectarian child caring institution in Metro Manila, Philippines. It operates 12 residential homes providing shelter, food, education and love to over 1 000 disadvantaged children. It also operates five support programs that cater to their personal development and four further outreach programs that seek to alleviate poverty and fight injustice for children in the community at large. VFI runs a volunteer program and facilitates individual sponsorship from local and foreign benefactors of children both in the VFI homes and in the poorer communities of Manila.
Since its establishment in 1992, VFI has transformed the lives of thousands of children who have been victims of various forms of abuse and exploitation in the street, in jail, from prostitution and syndicates and even from their own families and relatives. With its innovative approach of community reintegration and mainstreaming, as embodied in the family structure of all the homes and its family reunification and outreach programs, VFI achieves its vision of empowered children with hope for a brighter future. The foundation is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and is duly licensed and recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). It is also a member of the Philippine National Council Against Child Prostitution and of the Working Party On Children’s Rights working with the Department of JustVision
Virlanie Foundation Inc. is a private, non-sectarian child caring institution duly licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Mr. Dominique Lemay, a French national and former Director of Caritas (France) established Virlanie Foundation Inc. in 1992 in partnership with Filipinos.
Mission
Virlanie Foundation Inc. is a non-governmental child-caring institution. Our mission is to provide developmental services to our beneficiaries in order to facilitate their self-development.
Residential: allows over 300 children to experience real home life by providing them with the traditional Filipino family atmosphere. Today, a total of twelve homes has been established containing two Drop In centers.
Educational: gives the opportunity to the children to study and learn essential knowledge and moral necessary for their integration back to society.
Medical services: provide with the treatment of minor and major illnesses, emergency cases and monitor the health, nutrition and well-being of the children.
Psychological/Psychiatric: takes care of the mental health and hygiene of the children to ensure normal growth and development.
Family Program: preventive program for people from urban poor areas.
Family reunification program: focus on preparing the child and his family to reunification.
Sibuhi: therapeutic and rehabilitative art center.
Manila Youth Reception Center and the Reception Action Center: contribute to the rehabilitation and care for Youth offenders and abandoned children.

Statement of the Problem
One of the programs of Virlanie Foundation Inc. is Sponsorship program; the mission of the sponsorship program is to provide every child who wishes to go school with financial help towards the costs of schooling. For the past 3 years the program experiencing difficulties in managing and communicating benefactor/sponsors and beneficiaries in regard to their relations. Children covered by the sponsorship program are sourced from the Residential Program (the 12 homes) which located in Makati city, the Family Program which located in different area of Metro, outreach program working in the poorer communities or the Family Reunification Program located in different provinces in the Philippines. Sponsorship program that provides aftercare to children who were living in the houses of the foundation and children reunited with their families, because of their different location the coordinator of the sponsorship program having difficulties in communicating, locating their budget, activeness in the program, giving requirements and updating their individual performances.
Money from a child’s sponsor is spent on the essential and obligatory expenses concerning a child’s schooling; tuition fees, books, uniforms and bags.

Propose System
Open Sponsorship Communication System (OSCS)
The goal of this system is to have open communication the benefactors/sponsors to their beneficiaries with the guide of the organization policy, program coordinators and program heads, this system help sponsorship program to manage the relationship of the sponsors to their respective beneficiaries.
OSCS used email and groups in communicating; beneficiaries submit their requirements letter to the email of the Sponsor Coordinator, Sponsor Coordinator submit the letter of the beneficiaries to their respective benefactor through email, reminders, schedule of budgeting, giving budget, list of the name of the sponsor and meeting are post and send to the email of beneficiaries, assign area coordinator report to the Program Head through email and evaluation form are available online.
The objective of the System:
Ø gives effective program communication
Ø lessen the work of the Sponsorship coordinator
Ø minimize the time of locating budget for every beneficiaries
Ø Availability of the information
Ø Increased speed of activity of beneficiaries
Ø Increased speed of reports of area coordinator to the Program head

Significance of the Study
The significance of the system analysis is to analyze and study the existing system of Virlanie Foundation Inc and find what are the problems and causes, and from that problem proposed or develops system that will helped the organization to make their system more efficient, effective, accessible and manageable and from this study we are expecting to learned from the existing system of Virlanie Foundation Inc.
Scope and limitations
Our study focus on the Sponsorship program, which evolved managing beneficiaries, budgeting, and communicating benefactor/sponsors and beneficiaries in regard to their relationship, in some parts of the program applying sponsor and finding sponsor is not included.

Back Ground
Bahay Tuluyan is a non-profit organization working with children in need of special protection (CNSP) in the Philippines. Bahay Tuluyan is currently providing alternative education and social services for children in Manila, Laguna and Quezon, Philippines. To find out more about what Bahay Tuluyan does please go to the About page.
Services
Bahay Tuluyan provides various social services for children. These services are provided on the street and in the community through the use of a mobile unit, which roves around the streets of Manila. Bahay Tuluyan also provides social services for children in its 3 centers in Manila, Laguna and Quezon.
All of the children residing in Bahay Tuluyan's temporary residential shelters are provided scholarship assistance so that they can continue their education. This includes tutorials, school materials, uniforms, food, and other school requirements. Some children in the community are also provided with assistance so that they can continue their schooling. The scholarship program provides assistance at the elementary, high school and tertiary levels.
The Ikot Tampayan STAR children’s program (or Ikot STAR) is a program through which services are delivered to children on the street around the city of Manila. Using a specially equipped van the Ikot STAR team visits the children where they are, providing alternative education, feeding and case management services.

Ø Based on the changes you propose to the existing system, describe which of the 12 streamlining tools you used (I expect this to be more than one. Automation should not be the only tool you used) and briefly describe how you applied it in your system design.
Ø For example, if you say you applied Duplication Elimination, explain that instead of making 3 copies of a certain form, only one copy is needed in the new design. Explain why you propose this change and the advantages of the new design.
