            James Currier is the founder of tickle in 1999 which was developed while attending one of his classes in Harvard Business School. He is a successful businessman in behind several internet companies including ringo and lovehappens. He also has an interest for digital media and social sciences and he believes that the internet will be a useful way to help people to learn more about themselves. He founded Tickle on the idea that personal insight and connections to others can be scientific, fun and profitable.

            Tickle is a personality test that will test yourself to know more about your personality. It has also self-assessment tests, most are scientific research to understand more about human behavior. You can also find what perfect type of dog will fit your character. It is a media company for self discovering and social networking services and formerly known as Emode.com. It focuses on quizzes and tests for both entertainment and self-discovery. It will also help people to build their confidence because most of us are always searching for more confidence points.

            For him, the most challenging part in making a startup is when he was trying to collect and organize human energy and takes all of this matter by shaping into something that will fit you. I have learned that it will take an amount of passion to make your things work and always build a communication with people that surrounds you so that things will be easily get done. 

Case Study - Firefox

            Blake Ross is an American software developer who is known for his work on the Mozilla Firefox web browser along with his partner David Hyatt. They started Firefox when they were working to revive the struggling Netscape browser so they build a browser that they can use as a substitution by working on their free time.

            Mozilla Firefox was a fast, simple and reliable browser that was founded in 2002 and in 2004 they launched the Firefox 1.0 and it was a big hit then. It is a web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox features tabbed browsing, a spell checker, live bookmarking, a download manager, download enhancer, web developer toolbar Foxy Tunes media player control toolbar and a search system that uses the user’s desired search engine.  

            The first turning point that he had encountered was when they put their first milestone. Many people are saying that Mozilla is getting away from its geek roots and doing something more, a lot of people misunderstood their goal and there are people who didn’t like what they are doing. But it was not for a long time, after a year there are people who starts using their browser. An advice from Blake Ross, always make sure that you always have communication with the people who are eventually going to use your product. You have to keep on talking to people and keep on refining what you are doing. That makes a startup even better.
