Quote (Chapter III): Managing time and resources, systems analyst must also manage people. It is being accomplish by communicating accurately to team members. Goals for project productivity must be set, members of systems analysis must be motivated to achieve them.

Communication strategies for Managing teams

 Teams have different personalities. Cooperation results to each team or  areas a new path of interaction. They should be organize to maintain the good relationship among their selves.  Each work should be assign to one another evenly.  Minimize or ignored each problems that will occur.  Securing agreement will result to the team norms that guide their relationship.  This might charge but it might help as a team for the process of interaction not the product.  Norms can be functional or dysfunctional because a behavior does not mean it helps to achieve a goal but if the norms continued could make team waste precious resources.

Setting project productivity goals

            Systems analyst they think for productivity goals.  Goals should be formulated and agreed by the whole team which based on their expertise.  Goals will vary somewhat for each projects undertaken, because sometimes the entire system will be installed.  For some projects they need to have modifications to a certain system.

Motivating Project Team Members

            People are motivated to fulfill needs on several levels so that the team members know prior to any performance review.  Setting goals can help to motivate members of the team.  Also achievement help members to motivate their selves.

Managing E-commerce projects

            The data that is used by e-commerce are all over the organization the E-commerce project are in need of staff.  Their managers need to have good partnership externally and internally.  To prevent politics sabotaging a project they should emphasize integration w/in the organization system and organizational aspect.  The project management of E-commerce as system will be linking w/ outside world security is Important.

Avoiding project failures

            Feasibility studies are the best defenses against the projects’ failure.  Training and experiences will lessen the problem.  Always remember that in a project no one can stand on its own.  Decision process helps a team to be open minded
