an ever changing and always challenging one.”
Review:
In this current generation and modern world, there were many businesses that were established. And because of that, system analysts were needed. ..But…What is the role of a system analyst in a business or in a management? What does a systems analyst do and what they should possess?
There are so many definitions of systems analyst. Systems analyst assesses how businesses work. They examine the inputting and processing the data. They also output information but their main goal is to analyze, improve, and develop an organizational process through the use of computerized information systems. There are three primary roles of the system analyst, First, systems analyst as a consultant where they are addressing information systems issues within a business. Second, systems analyst as supporting expert where they are serving as a resource for those who are managing the project and draws on professional expertise concerning hardware and software and their uses in the business. And thirdly, systems analyst as agent of change where they serves as a catalyst for change, develops a plan for change, and works with others in facilitating that change. They improve or develop what is occurring in the specific context created by a business.
To be able to do one’s role especially the roles of a systems analyst, there are some qualities that most systems analyst seems to display. We all know that an analyst must be a communicator, which is capable of relating meaningfully to other people over extended periods of time. Another thing is that a systems analyst needs enough computer experience to program, understand the capabilities of computers, glean information requirements from uses and communicate what is needed to programmers. But above all, a systems analyst is a problem solver, one who enjoys devising workable solutions. But the most important traits that a systems analyst should reflect on is that…they must be self-disciplined, self-motivated individual who is able to manage and coordinate innumerable project resources, including other people. Systems analyst is a demanding career but, in compensation, an ever changing and always challenging one.
